TranscriptAI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the TranscriptAI mobile application (the “App”).
TranscriptAI does not require account registration and does not directly collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
The App processes user-provided content only to deliver AI-powered features such as video transcription, document analysis, image understanding, and AI chat assistance.
When using the App, you may voluntarily provide content including:
• YouTube video URLs
• Uploaded documents (PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX)
• Images or photos selected from your device for AI analysis
• Text prompts or AI chat messages
• Questions submitted for summarization, transcription, or explanation
This content is submitted by you solely for AI processing and feature functionality within the App.
To provide transcript generation, document analysis, image understanding, summarization, and AI chat functionality, TranscriptAI uses a third-party artificial intelligence service provider:
OpenAI (ChatGPT API)
When you submit content, the following data may be securely transmitted to OpenAI for processing:
• YouTube video URL
• Extracted transcript text (if applicable)
• Uploaded document content
• Uploaded image content
• User prompts and chat messages
• System instructions necessary to generate responses
• Contacts
• Photos outside of those intentionally uploaded by the user
• Location data
• Payment information
• Advertising identifiers
• Background device data
All data is transmitted securely via encrypted HTTPS connections.
We do NOT sell your data.
We do NOT use your data for advertising.
We do NOT use your data for tracking.
We do NOT use your data to train AI models.
OpenAI processes API data according to its publicly available API data usage policy, which states that API data is not used to train models by default.
We only engage third-party processors that provide contractual and technical safeguards meeting applicable data protection standards.
AI-generated responses are automatically produced by artificial intelligence systems and may not always be accurate, complete, or up-to-date. Users should independently verify important information.
Before any content is transmitted to OpenAI:
The App displays a clear consent dialog explaining:
• What data will be sent
• Why the data is needed
• That a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) processes the request
No content is transmitted unless the user explicitly taps “Agree” in the consent dialog.
If the user declines, AI processing will not occur.
Processing is based on user consent.
TranscriptAI operates a backend server that securely forwards requests to AI services.
However:
• We do not permanently store user prompts
• We do not permanently store uploaded documents
• We do not permanently store uploaded images
• We do not permanently store AI responses
• We do not maintain logs containing user content
Content is processed temporarily for request fulfillment only and then discarded.
The App may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners such as Google AdMob.
Advertising partners may collect limited device information according to their own privacy policies in order to:
• Deliver advertisements
• Measure ad performance
• Prevent fraud
Users may be asked for permission to allow tracking in accordance with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
If the user declines tracking permission, ads may still be displayed but may be less personalized.
All subscriptions and payments are processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store.
We do not collect or store:
• Credit card information
• Billing addresses
• Payment details
We only receive confirmation of subscription status from Apple.
We may collect limited technical information such as:
• Device type
• Operating system version
• App version
• Anonymous crash or performance data
This data:
• Is used solely to improve app stability and performance
• Is not linked to your identity
• Is not used for advertising tracking
We do not perform cross-app tracking.
We do not permanently store:
• Uploaded documents
• Uploaded images
• YouTube URLs
• Chat prompts
• AI responses
Content is processed temporarily and discarded after completion.
Minimal technical information may be retained only as necessary for:
• Fraud prevention
• Legal compliance
• Service integrity
TranscriptAI operates from India.
AI processing is performed by OpenAI, whose servers may be located in the United States or other jurisdictions.
By using the App and providing consent, you agree to the transfer of data to these jurisdictions where legally permitted.
We ensure appropriate safeguards are applied for such transfers.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the right to:
• Access your personal data
• Request correction
• Request deletion
• Restrict processing
• Object to processing
• Request data portability
Since we do not maintain identifiable personal accounts, most requests may be limited to technical information.

However, no internet transmission method is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
Changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date at the top of this document.
Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
